About Us
Junior Sports Gym is a gross motor program I have developed for children ages 6 months to 16 years. I travel to schools on a weekly basis to teach children about sports and healthy lifestyles. Every week, I use developmentally appropriate equipment for every age group in a noncompetitive environment while learning about sports. My program is taught using fun music in a high energy atmosphere that cannot be matched anywhere else! Interaction is particularly important when trying to engage a child in any type of gross motor activities. Teachers and coaches must understand the importance of their participation in the activities as well.
In working with numerous age groups and children with different physical capabilities, I have developed the most original ways for children and adults to have fun while learning about sports. My goal is for everyone to experience a variety of sports and physical play activities in a fun learning environment. I have trained over 100 individuals on how to teach my program. I have developed enrichment workshops for 2 companies, in which I teach their staff my unique way of teaching. My program(s) will help the children build confidence and give them a positive attitude about fitness and sports.
I obtained an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Mercer County Community College in 2003. As I continued to advance my education, I also worked for a company called The Wacky Gym and I developed a passion for this career! I then worked for The Wacky Gym for 8 years where I managed the daily operations of the company and continued to grow. I genuinely enjoy my job because I love what I do! I am confident that a demonstration at your school or center will provide you with a better idea of what I do and why it works! During my experiences over the past 16 years, I have figured out the best way to interact with children and create a bond through sports and physical activities: Just have FUN!!!
